Jonah 3
Jonah was given a second chance. This time he didn't blow it. He obeyed the Word of God and went to Nineveh and preached God's word.
Jonah preached a message that was not popular, it was bad news. He told them they were going to be overthrown.
The amazing thing to Jonah was the people listened and they believed God. They made a change, they repented and asked God to turn from His anger.
God obviously was working with the people of Nineveh and was preparing their hearts to hear the Word through Jonah.
Things are the same today. We make mistakes, we disobey God, but He is always there waiting for us to repent and give us a second chance.
We are a part of God's plan, and He is working behind the scenes to prepare others to respond when we do what we are asked to do.
We are not to change people, we can't change people. We are to do the will of the Lord and preach the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will do the work that needs to be done once we have obeyed our Father.
