The Descent Of Glory
As a lion tears its prey in two
So tears my soul away from You
When I have turned away and sinned
May my glory fall and dust ascend
The righteous God tests heart and mind
A righteous Judge who looks to find
The ones who put their trust in Him
For He'll protect them once again
But for men who dig a pit
They will most likely fall in it
As violence lands upon their plate
These men will ask, “Is it too late?”
I will tell them, "Trust the Lord"
"Who paid the price none could afford"
"Let us sing praise to His Name"
"For Jesus Christ took all the blame"
So tears my soul away from You
When I have turned away and sinned
May my glory fall and dust ascend
The righteous God tests heart and mind
A righteous Judge who looks to find
The ones who put their trust in Him
For He'll protect them once again
But for men who dig a pit
They will most likely fall in it
As violence lands upon their plate
These men will ask, “Is it too late?”
I will tell them, "Trust the Lord"
"Who paid the price none could afford"
"Let us sing praise to His Name"
"For Jesus Christ took all the blame"
