Counterfeit Letters
Here, Paul warns the Thessalonians about false teachers. Some of these teachers, apparently, even sent counterfeit letters to the churches claiming Pauline authorship or authorship from other Apostles. I fear that many of us have relaxed our vigilance regarding the exposure of false teaching and false teachers. We must train our people to understand doctrine and its implications. They must be shrewd and discerning lest the church fall prey to counterfeit teaching.
