These verses remind me of how crucial community is. We are designed for it. It's easy to have fellowship with yourself, and empty to be like-minded with your own brain. Growth and change come through navigating relationships and situations with other people. Listening to each other, teaching and encouraging each other... When we don't have that, we hurt.

For the introverts of the world, it's sometimes very difficult to seek out and develop close relationships. If you're generally comfortable alone, loneliness can sneak up on you. One day you wake up and realize that your only community is with those under your own roof, and maybe the cashiers at the grocery store. It can take a kick in the pants to get out of that comfort zone and reach out to other people, but I find that it's essential for life.

"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

Philippians 2:1-4
