I like to take this verse with a grain of salt, much to my own detriment. Surely God doesn't mean EVERYTHING, everything, right? I have a right to complain when I don't get my way, or if someone steps on my toes, or I surely have the right to argue when it means protecting myself and my awesomeness, right?

My rights get in the way of "becoming a blameless and pure child of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation.
