We often focus on "who are the elect" whereas Scripture tends to focus on "who are the lost." As D.L. Moody once said, "Lord, save the elect and elect some more." I think that is an excellent mantra for this passage. Amazingly the Master (God) is committed to having a full house. Therefore, he instructs his servant to go to the least desirable, the least accessible, the least populated and the least likely to respond just so he could bring in a few more. If that's not a mandate for the church I don't know what is!
