Vision of a church
Unstoppable Vision
Mission of a church : To lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ
Will you follow? Will you give your life to the mission.
Mark 8,34 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.
We have to take Christ everywhere with us
Acts 2:42-47 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Suppers), and to prayer.
43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosities—47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
God used this Church to change the whole community. He changed lives every single day.
Vision for the church:
1. Where everyone is welcome
Revelations 22,17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.
We need to welcome people to our church. Write down three names of people we should invite to church next week.
2. everyone is needed
1.Corinthians 12,4-6 4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
God gave us our gifts to save the world, to lead other people to Christ. If we are not using our gift, something is not getting done.
Every friendly act makes a difference. Use your gift!
1. Corinthians 12:21-22 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
22 In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.
God sees us as a body. We need everybody to work
3. everyone is changed
Romans 10:13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”
Everyone can leave the church changed after a service.
1.Samuel:10,
Will you be a fully devoted follower of Christ?
