"This Little Light of Mine, I'm Going to Let It Shine"
Matthew 5:14, 15
14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Luke 1:67 ~ 79
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,70 as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,71 that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us;72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant,73 the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us74 that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear,75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,78 because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

16 No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.17 For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.18 Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.
The Lord always amazes me. When I was in thought with the Lord yesterday eve and this morning, the spirit kept thinking light, “This Little Light of Mine, I’m going to let it shine.” I came to my new home at You Version and was reading the contributions, the last few days I have been surfing everywhere and reading the thoughts, prayers, goals, and so much more….living in the spirit is always so much more in all things…I see God and His light of the Spirit that shines from our beings. I wrote this yesterday and did not post it and today when I started reading the contributions, it lifted my spirit to see the Lord is touching so many of us about how important our light/spirit is in devotion as well as to be disciples with His light leading, guiding and illuminating the way. That light/spirit is a testament ~ our witness of our profound love and acceptance of our Lord and Savior. You can see it in the eyes, heart, smiles, voices and touches … the Lord had been leading me in all the senses he has given us and the purposes of each and when one is missing how others are magnified to make up for the lost. For the last few years, He has been leading me out in the open….nature and all that is. Showing me how the birds sang praise in each note… all the colors everywhere are each in themselves a brilliant rectification of His light in many forms ~ only refined, modified and adapted for each thing our God created…how many blues in the shy…how many greens in that which lives… hues of every color one could possibly imagine in all directions… sunup’s and sunsets….each a color every changing….our lives are suppose to be ever changing…lead and I will follow you my Lord and Savior…our light/spirit is suppose to flow from us in the array of colors that our God created…that light/spirit is there for a reason…we follow where our Lord leads…our light is suppose to shine as a form of discipleship…the Lord’s spirit that is the luminosity of the spirit that dwells within our souls and is no less brilliant than the stars that light up the sky at night…a prism that radiates our faith, devotion…a complete change in life styles and needs…it has no boundaries…the spectrum of the Holy Spirit is an infinity of all colors that are seen by the eye and those that are seen without knowledge… this range is the same with sound…what we hear and what we do not realize we hear, sounds that are pure in a array of pitches…the same is true in smell and taste…touch from just a tap, a stroke, a hug, all contact…this too can be felt through the spirit without any connection, all our senses are reflected in our spirit our light…from simplistic to complex all being observable, factual and each an experience that hopefully is manifestation that feeds the souls that are on the same path that we walk…that walk being relevant to our unfathomable faith in our Lord that is eternally present with us…Perpetuity ~time without end, an eternity of the Lord’s spirit/light shining deep within our soul…His present a constant through us with our belief in our Lord and Savior, the Son of God and Holy Spirit… May my light/spirit shine for time without end…just as He has promised….RaeDi
