Followers of the law
The implications of hypocrisy are obvious. All have sinned and need the reconciliation offered through Christ. My question is how would you apply this to today’s world? How can we use this message in the litigious society that is now enforced? When an agnostic or atheist decry’s the law as the source of morality, what is your response? I am sure that most Americans can say that they live under the law, and have not been arrested. But even so, have they not broken the law? What of speeding, littering, or simple jay-walking not to mention all the crazy laws that are out dated, like spitting on the sidewalk in Ft Worth. Law does not set morality, God does. We cannot legislate morality. We have been trying that since at least the start of the “great society” of Harry Truman. Do we not still have moral decay? The law only becomes moral when the individual believes, believes in God and has understanding of eternal consequences.
This country has been at war with itself since the 1920’s. And it is coming to a head soon. The advance of science and Darwinism has emboldened the atheist movement. Science is NOT bad, as Darwinism is not evil. When viewed through the light of religion, it glorifies God. How awesome is the God that created the universe?!? Find a quiet field with no city lights and gaze up at beauty and vastness of the milkyway…the universe. Some like the beauty revealed from the Hubble telescope. My favorite spot is a quiet bay in the ocean off some distant island. Only you, the quiet waters, and the majesty of God laid out in the heavens. God graced me once with the gift of such a sight. No, Science is not bad, but like a gun, it is only a tool. God gave us a great intellect, it is we that use it to sin.
