His Kingdom Come, His will be done
Matthew 18:18 "whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven..."
This scripture calls on his disciples to remember Jesus teaching His 12 disciples to pray. The English translation of this verse muddles the actual meaning of this scripture. the Hebrew word which is reflected in the amplified version a bit says "what is already" not "shall be". The equation is not earth affecting heaven as much as heaven affecting earth. We just usher in the purpose of God simply as an obedient son/daughter quickened by Holy Spirit who gives us words that in effect will bind and loose things in our earthly realm. Simply put, we (the church) are the channel through which God chooses to manifest his purpose.
However we must never minimise the importance of being an obedient disciple who has learnt the all important way of saying "your kingdom come, your will be done" (like jesus himself prayed "not my will but yours be done"). Our willing response to God's leading definitely releases something in heaven, but only because God chose to, not because I chose to. If I am not willing God will find someone else. So my response is "Lord!!! Let your Kingdom come and let your will be done in me and through me"
When Jesus walked the earth He went about preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God that had come. It's intresting to note...God's kingdom rule is here. God is about the business of making every enemy a footstool for Jesus...and that involves alot of demonic activity on earth being bound and the church be released to take and loose captives that have been held.
