In order for the power of God to effectively and powerfully work within us we need to turn our lives completely over to Jesus and make Him our Lord. This process of turning more and more of our lives over to the Lord is accomplished through dying to ourselves and to our own desires. As we partner in His death then we get to partner in this resurrection life. This Life is the power of God that will cause us to overcome in every area of our lives. The decision to trust God with every area of our lives is made easier as we realize that God knows what is best for us, that He wants what is best for us, and that the purpose of His coming was to give us life more abundantly
