Who's your guide
Working through a Bible study class at my church (Granger Community Church), our teacher challenged us to read through this Psalm daily, live in it, breath it in, take it to heart. God pursues with His love and goodness, but do we take notice? And ... do we follow? i question the validity of my heart's intentions when they don't match up with the "goodness and unfailing love" that pursues me. If the path i'm headed on isn't right - if i'm doing something wrong - i'm not following God. If i'm not following God, then who's my guide? That's a scary thought. So, the more i will myself to trust God and His word, the more i seem to fall into step with Him, accepting the pursuit of love. And, it feels good.
Lyrics to "Step by Step"
by Rich Mullins
Oh God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
Oh God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
Oh God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
Oh God, You are my God
And I will ever praise You
I will seek You in the morning
And I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
