Understanding the Book of Revelation:Chapter 10
Unless you have a strong aversion to news reports,this thought must have crossed your mind recently:OH NO! THESE MUST BE THE BIBLE PREDICTED "LAST DAYS"!! Hey you sure are perceptive !!! With the firm belief that we have now entered into the Tribulation time,I am publishing a series of studies of the Book of Revelation,that difficult to understand road map that shows exactly where we are headed,using the easy to understand Contemporary English Version (CEV) Bible that has been created by the American Bible Society.I will then add insights in capitol letters which will provide explanations and historical background information for the words you have just read, which will be in agreement with leading biblical commentaries,in order to at long last make the startling predictions made in this important and fascinating book comprehensible. I will occasionally make changes in the CEV words if I detect variance from the meaning found in the King James Bible.

Revelation 10
1 I saw a powerful angel come down from heaven. This one was covered with a cloud,(THIS CAN REFER TO THE "GLORY OF GOD") and a rainbow was over his head. (THIS CAN REFER TO HIS NATURE OF PEACE AND MERCY) His face was like the sun, his legs were like columns of fire, 2and with his hand he held a little scroll that had been unrolled. He stood there with his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land. (INDICATES HIS POWER OVER THE ENTIRE EARTH) 3Then he shouted with a voice that sounded like a growling lion. Then thunderous voices (MOST PROBABLY VOICES 0F OTHER ANGELS) roared seven times. 4After the thunderous voices stopped, I was about to write what the voices had said. But a voice from heaven shouted, "Keep it secret! Don't write these things." 5The angel I had seen standing on the sea and the land then held his right hand up toward heaven. 6He made a promise in the name of God who lives forever and who created heaven, earth, the sea, and every living creature. The angel said, "You won't have to wait any longer".7God told his secret plans (THIS IS THOUGHT TO REFER TO GOD'S USE OF SATAN TO CARRY OUT HIS WILL) to his servants the prophets, and it will all happen by the time the seventh angel sounds his trumpet."(IT IS THOUGHT THAT THIS WILL SIGNAL THE START OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE TRIBULATION) 8Once again the voice from heaven spoke to me. It said, "Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the angel standing on the sea and the land." 9When I went over to ask the angel for the little scroll, the angel said, "Take the scroll and eat it up" (A BETTER ENGLISH TRANSLATION PROBABLY IS "DIGEST ITS CONTENTS") Your stomach will turn sour,(THIS PROBABLY REFERS TO THE SCROLL'S DISCUSSION OF GOD'S HARSH JUDGMENTS AGAINST THE WORLD ) but the taste in your mouth will be as sweet as honey."(THIS CAN REFER TO THE NATURE OF GOD'S WORD) 10I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it up. The taste was as sweet as honey, but my stomach turned sour. 11Then He (MOST LIKELY JESUS) stated "Keep on telling what will happen to the people of many nations, races, and languages, and kings."(THIS IS THE REASON THIS BOOK HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN THE BIBLE . IT PRESENTS A DIRE WARNING OF WHAT AWAITS A WORLD HELL- BENT ON SERVING SATAN THROUGH ITS DEDICATION TO SIN ;WARNINGS THAT ALMOST NEVER ARE TAUGHT IN CHURCHES THAT CHOOSE TO IGNORE THE WRATH OF GOD RESERVED FOR THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SIN.)
