Jesus is the Adam who didn't blow it. He came as a man, was tempted in every way as we are, and passed the test by living a sinless life. Paul is introducing the doctrine of headship here. As Adam's failure brought sin to all men, Christ's triumph over sin (living a sinless life even when tempted) brought salvation to all. ... And now we'll have to add massive footnotes to get through Paul's language in the next couple verses.
