An elder after God's heart
Having a ministry for over 25+ years has given me the opportunity to see different kinds of leadership in the church. We know the Word speaks about pastors, elders and deacons. All of them are rooted on the same spirit and concept of servanthood. Christ came with a heart of a giver, and that's what He has imparted unto us in our different callings. Spiritual abuse is one thing that we need to avoid. We are not called to manipulate, control or intimidate the children of God with our gifts or charisma, but lead them and understand that we are to be like Him, who denied himself and spoke the word He heard directly from the Father. That's what "according to the will of God" means in this verse.
