Micah 2
This chapter is very clear, people who plan evil things are eventually going to be in big trouble.
While reading notes from the Life Application Bible, I saw a few interesting comments. In verse 1 and 2, the plans we make can reflect our true character. Evil thoughts lead to evil deeds.
God's main plan for the harshness of the message is to try and bring His people back onto the right path. When needed, disciple is for our good.
Verse 11 says that the people liked the false prophets who told them only what they wanted to hear. A lot of preachers today are popular because they tell us what we want to hear and the don't ask to much of us. The true preacher of God tells the truth regardless of what the listeners want to hear.
The last two verses are telling of a return, according to the Bible notes, a return of Judah from captivity in Babylon and later, the great return and gathering of all believers when Christ returns. What starts out as a message of doom, turns into a message of hope.
