19 These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God's Spirit in them.

I can say that the most dangerous thing in life is to follow your own instincts. Seeing this verse makes me think of a time where I thought that God couldn't possibly fix what I was going threw, and I decided that making my own choices was "better". And now I'm at that point, you know...the point where you figure out that God was there all along, he was stalking your heart telling you the whole time, but you couldn't hear it... Then you find yourself sitting and talking with God, and you realize that God is now humbling you.

Humbling. Oh no...right?

Maybe for some this process is SO scary. But I was overjoyed when I found out that God was doing that in my life, because then it meant that something was going to change in my life. ----Now I don't mean a gift, or a blessing to my life. I mean a change in my life, like me understanding something better by the end of the process, in other words, I knew God was teaching me a lesson.

And who else could I ask to teach me?

I realized while going threw this process (believe me Ive went through it once before) that the start of the process always begins with pride---or "following your instincts over God."

I see this song lyric come true---"Pride comes before the fall"

So it starts there. Your so into yourself, and you think that nothing can knock you down.

Well, thats before you see God taking every second of your life and turning it around.

For me it was these:

Almost loosing my relationship, me and my family fell apart, then I lost all my "true friends"
Then I lost my apartment, my job, I found out that Im not suppose to be at the college I am, and then towards this point i realized none of that mattered.

Because I lost the most important thing that held my life together.

God.

Breaking yourself down really challenges you to get to know yourself.
A song that really speaks to my heart is one by Francheska Badestelli, called its your life.
The part that can speak about anyone is this:

"Its your life, whatcha gonna do?
The world is watching you,
Everyday the choices you make,
say what you are and who your hearts beats for,
its an open doooor."

Nothing in this world is more important that what your heart is beating for.

What are you living for?
