Trials will come our way. Everyone is facing some situation that must be overcome. Trials usually put pressure on us to act contrary to the Word of God or to step off of our stance of faith. Overcoming this trial means we put pressure on the situation and are not moved off the Word of God. We keep our eyes on the eternal promises of the Word of God and not our situation. The Word of God says that our situation is "temporal" or subject to change. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God is pleased when we choose to believe his Word even when what we see with our eyes seems to be contrary to what God's Word says. The Word of God is called the incorruptible seed. It will always produce what it was designed to produce. Our job is to remain steadfast and patient until the Word of God changes our situation. We are told to "be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises". We are in a mysterious and dynamic partnership with God. God has already declared us to be overcomers and given us everything we need to establish victory in our situation. God's "eternal" Word consistently applied will change and transform our "temporal" situation. Everything temporal was birthed out of the eternal and will respond to the parent force. Our part is to take the Word of God and in faith exercise our authority then having done all to stand, we stand. This stance of faith not only pleases God but also brings about the changes we have desired and have been believing for.
