So this verse is interesting. Jesus is a people watcher... I am a people watcher too! I love to sit in the airport or other busy places and just watch the crowds go by! I didn't say "stalk", I said "watch". :-) I love reading their facial expressions, the little gestures, the little insecurities, the little nuances. I have sort of developed a skill at reading people like this, one thing I can't do, which I think is a cool gift, I can't read people's hearts. This is what Jesus was doing. Once again, Jesus has proven He has more "skills" then me. Aren't we all glad to know this. lol! You see all the signs on the outside pointed to worshipful giving, all the signs said, "i am honoring God", but Jesus saw deeper then that or actually shallower. You see we can't fool God with our worship, we can't fool Him with our heart. This may seem like a scary or hopeless concept, but I actually find it comforting. Why, cause if we can't get away with fooling Him, then WHY TRY! Why not, just wrestle until we get to that place? Why not... keep fighting and pressing till we get where we want to be, in His presence!

For 2 Mites, the widow got change? Jesus saw her sincerity over the amount of money she was giving, her sacrifice was greater, cause it cost her more.

Question for you and I, how much are we willing to sacrifice for the change we desire? A "showy tenth" or a "sincere and sacrificial two"?
