I am reminded how often I duck out of uninteresting conversations, avoid small talk or maneuver conversations to what is important to me. I forget (Dear God, forgive me) that I am not the center of my world but Christ is. Have you seen the Truman Show film with Jim Carrey? He is the center of the imaginary 'made-for-TV' town's world. As the main character, everything revolves around him. And to his credit, once he finds it out — he works to escape.
We are the minor characters in our lives, God is the main character. And when I remember this truth, joy and caring for other overflows and I realize my role in God's big picture.
Dear Friend, I pray today we live in expectation of what God can do in and through us as we " Pray ...…that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ, " Pray that we will proclaim this message as clearly as we should. Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. So that we will have "conversations" that are gracious and attractive so that we will "have the right response for everyone".
