What's the process we go through before we commit sin? The serpent was crafty in making Eve think it is not a big deal to sin. Here we find the basic thought pattern that leads to a sinful livestyle. 1) It is good for food. Since God created everything, everything should be good. Right? There is no good or wrong. EVERYTHING is good. Then, 2) It is pleasing to the eye. How many bad things look attactive to you? Sex, drugs, alcohol, porn, magazines, XXX rated movies, the girl next door, etc. sin can be very attractive. Right? And then, 3) What do you have to loose?All those bad things might be desirable to you and even, you might say, beneficial. They meet specific needs in your life. So you need them. How can a little of free online porn affect your relationship with God? What about an adult magazine? It is not a big deal. Eve, thought about all these things and decided to eat the forbiden fruit. That's how crafty the serpent is in making you think that Sin is not a big deal.
