Judges 6:27-29

God may give you a specific task, maybe to clear out sinful stuff in your environment. We're willing to do God's will, but we fear people's anger or other bad consequences. So we try to hide difficult actions. We do not want other people knowing us doing undesired deeds, because this could result in trouble.

In fact, we do not trust in God protecting us. It is good that Gideon still fulfilled the task, but he did it in the night.

God unveils the author of destruction, one way or the other: The wicked people find Gideon as guilty and demand his death. So God wants others to know who is responsible for doing so, even if it is actually good.
You can not hide something God wants to show up, e.g. your testimoney or your morality.

Let's fulfill God's tasks 100 per cent, not just 90. God will protect you even in the difficult part, if it is his will.
