It Ain't Over Until God Says It's Over!
I have a bright red wooden sign on my desk at work that simply says:”He has plans for you.” I tend to look at it quite often and breathe a sigh of relief. How comforting right? I don't know about you but I sometimes wonder about my purpose in this life. I find myself sitting in silence, staring into space with tears formed in my eyes wondering why I'm never really truly happy. I know everyone struggles and everyone has their share of pain and I believe one day everything is going to be alright but right now, things are not always working in my favor. I’ve had many blessings in my life but I’ve also had my share of heartaches… and it seems as if at this point in time... that’s all I’ve been feeling. Heartache! I may not understand everything that is going on around me but I know He has a reason for everything. God’s wisdom is greater than mine and I don’t have to try to figure out just exactly why I’m experiencing the things I’ve been dealing with. He knows what he is doing and I trust Him. His word says “For I know the plans I have for you…They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”
It’s not in His plan for me to be miserable the rest of my life or always go through “disasters”… He has better plans for me… to give me a future and a hope. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says “We live by what we believe, not by what we can see” I have faith and I believe he will pull me through any struggle or obstacle.
The Lord knows who trusts in him… and He gives true peace to those that depend on Him. I will end this by quoting another scripture from 2 Corinthians but this time chapter 4 verses 8-9. It says “We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We do not know what to do, but we do not give up the hope of living. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed” I will say that to say this… It ain’t over until God says it’s over! So I will keep fighting, praying, fasting, pressing, progressing, keep moving, reading, believing, trusting, living and keep going!
