Believe the Unbeleivable
There was nothing realistic about this promise that was just made by God! It was the most outrageous thing Abram could have ever imagined...at this point, 1 child would have been an unbelievable thought! But God gave him BIG dreams! God showed Abram how HUGE God's Plans could be! Abram did what we fail to do...he trusted God at face value.
I desire to do that. If God has made a promise, then I'm gonna trust it! I wan to BELIEVE God in A HUGE way! God help me listen to you and your promises and help me with child-like faith to believe every word of it! Help me to drown out the voices of disbelief and the cries of hardened hearts and help me to have a real vision of what you are capable of doing in my life.
Lord, take the areas of my life that seem to be utter failures; areas I am not performing; areas that to everyone else look like I will never produce; and turn them into GOD MOMENTS. Turn them into products that all may see how awesome you are and how just a little faith goes such a long way!
After 15 chapters of God creating all of mankind and every detail of creation, breathing life into human souls, burdening one old preacher man to save the entire race of man from a worldwide flood that He created, and setting up an amazing, complex and confusing social makeup of spreading humans to all corners of earth; THE LEAST I CAN DO IS TRUST HIS PROMISES!
