No contacts or glasses needed
Isaiah 55:8 My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord .
"And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
When I read this truth, I am struck by the fact I cannot see more than a few hundred feet (with contacts) in front of me or above me. What I seem to concentrate on is the ground below my feet. I cannot fathom the universes beyond my immediate sight. Even looking through a powerful telescope, it would be just an inkling of God's infinite vastness and power. I get too caught up in the ground below and the dirt I walk on daily. Somedays, it is like quicksand, just pulling me down and swallowing me - all the cares and worries of this life. Then God, who loves me, reminds me He is so much greater than all of it - He is beyond what I can fathom, and He is able to lift me above, out of the mire, to new heights as I concentrate on Him, alone. Today God awoke me early to read in Isaiah 55. I have been weary in the mire, worrying about the future, a job, my children, etc. Dear Friend, God is telling you and I today, His thoughts and ways are so much greater and purposeful than what we can see with these earthly eyes. God will allow us to see with heavenly eyes all He has promised if we focus on Him and His word. For God's word always produces fruit - joy, peace, love, kindness, etc. - you get the picture:) May we soar with Him today.
Isaiah 55:10 "The rain and snow come down from the heavens
and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
producing seed for the farmer
and bread for the hungry.
11 It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
"And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
