As I turn my thoughts to God, my life becomes a prayer. A conversation with Him that never ceases. Discipline and consistency is neccessary to become rich in prayer, but it is not impossible. It is not neccessary to only pray in a secluded physical place to become rich in prayer, but it is neccessary to turn every thought, every action, every choice, every moment to God. In this way I make whatever I am doing a prayer. As I prepare a meal in love, I am grateful for the food. As I clean my house, I am grateful for the clean haven it provides me. As I play in the park with the kids, I experience the joy that God has for me as His child. As I choose to be patient rather than impatient, I become aware of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, whose patience does not grow weary, living in the inside of me. As I choose joy over pain, I am reminded of the cross He endured for the joy set before Him. As I go through my day, I am aware of being an instrument that will allow the love of God to flow through to Him and to others. What I do and what I say is an expression of God. The more I turn my thoughts, actions, words, deeds, movements of my heart toward God the more my life becomes a prayer. This is how I pray without ceasing. The more I pray without ceasing, the more often I rejoice over who He is.
