1 Corinthians 14:26 AMP, 1 Corinthians 14:28 AMP and 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 AMP

Here Paul tells us how to conduct a church service. The elements that should be included and how to orderly allow many (uh, that's what he says) to contribute and participate with tongues and prophecy. I suppose there have always been many resigned to verse 28 in exercising their gifts because of the misunderstanding in mainstream churches of their use.

Verses 34, 35 speaks to women participating in the service, but the word "authorized" in the Amplified caught my attention. Who didn't authorize women to speak in church? The Law,or was it a cultural thing. When Joel prophesied about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28), he clearly included women.
