The image of God
I have heard this debated over and over again. Just what is the image of God? I think one of the most interesting concepts I have ever heard is creativity. When you read this verse in it's context there is no doubt that our creator is doing just that... creating. Making something amazing come to life. Think about humanity. Our innate desire to continue to discover and create. The exponential growth of our human understanding is incredible. We have an insatiable hunger to create, design, and discover. Here is the catch, nothing satisfies but the one who put that "nature" in us. Blase Pascal said it best when he described that longing for satisfaction as our God shaped hole. So what is the image of God. Creativity, what satisfies that mark in us... only the one who put it there.
