I love this scripture, it serves as a reminder to me about how I need to have self-respect and be responsible during my faith journey. It is the epitome of spiritual maturity. Just another example of how we should be living if we're really listening when we read the Gospel and scripture. This really speaks to the fact that we are the messenger of Christ on Earth. If we expect others to see good things in us, or to find Christ in our actions, then doesn't it make sense that we should therefore speak and act in a manner that would please God?

We are vessels through which the Holy Spirit can reach the sinner and the unsaved. To bring those that choose to be re-baptised into a true relationship with Jesus Christ. What good is the finest wine if it is offered to someone in a stained, broken, or filthy cup? The wine would be the best they ever tasted, but they won't want to taste it if the vessel it's being offered to them in is tainted. It reflects badly on everyone when we don't respect ourselves and/or not practice what we preach.
