Devouring the Pharisees’ Leaven
In other words, you see what you want to see! IF the “discerning” Pharisees and Sadducees would open their eyes, they would know that Christ is the fulfillment of prophecy. He IS God. It is this stubborn leaven of which we must beware! Their teaching (:12) is suspicious, judgmental, and unwilling to commit to Christ. Oh, how many sinners are in this place – devouring this leaven – unwilling to open their eyes and commit to Jesus?
