Woe to the Tempters
Jesus, here, very urgently and gravely communicates the terrible offense and resulting “woe” (or curse) for causing/tempting one to sin. This is quite startling when it is applied to mean-spiritedness that causes pain in others, dressing in a certain way that causes lust in others, manipulating others to sin, etc. This is treasonous behavior in the kingdom.
