1 Timothy 1:19-20 NIV84

Hmmmm, Is this the ultimate "I give up on you" Paul says he has handed these 2 men "over to Satan" so they can be taught a lesson. Sounds kinda harsh to me, just to understand that they need to have faith, and a clear conscious.

Well, looks like they didn't care much about those things, so they blasphemed, Here is someones writing on blasphemy, (An indignity offered to God in words, writing, or signs; impiously irreverent words or signs addressed to, or used in reference to, God; speaking evil of God; also, the act of claiming the attributes or prerogatives of deity. When used generally in statutes or at common law, blasphemy is the use of irreverent words or signs in reference to the Supreme Being in such a way as to produce scandal or provoke violence.) Without a clean conscious, and faith in God, this is how we would treat our religion. In a way that WE would gain from it, and create havoc in others lives. We treat God as a tool for discussion, rather than a life changing lover!

When we treat God in this way, do people give up on us, and in effect hand us over to Satan so maybe we can learn a lesson? Even more frightening than that, Do non-believers think we are from Satan because of the way we are acting?

How do I value faith, and conscious?
