Philippians 4:14 NIV84

Paul talks about how he relies on God and has learned to be content in every circumstance. Yet, he says it was good to have human contact, someone to share in his troubles. Those people were like God with skin on, extending the grace of God to Paul.

God has designed us to be in relationship with Him, but also with other people.

Paul's relationship with God was clearly his priority, but he clearly drew comfort from others. In the same way, my priority relationship needs to be the one with God. I /we need others, as well as a relationship with God.

For the extroverts among us, this is not an issue. But for an introvert like me, who get our motivation and energy internally, rather than focusing solely on task, I need to cultivate and invest in relationship with others.
