God is Faithful
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful, because He cannot deny Himself." 2 Timothy 2:13
Have you ever wondered how faithful God is to His promises? Have you ever thought that His promises and blessings were directly connected to your faithfulness and obedience? Have you ever thought about what it would take for God to finally give up on you?
Then read the verse again. "...He remains faithful, because He cannot deny Himself." Our God is and always will be a faithful God of love, mercy and grace. He will never change who He is. He can't change who He is because that would be denying Himself. He remains faithful to His Word and promises even when we are faithless.
So what about you? Are you finding yourself weak in the faith today? Are you struggling with troubles and hurts? Are you angry with God because you think that He has abandoned you? If so, close your physical eyes (after reading this devotion) and open your eyes of faith. See how faithful your Heavenly Father is. Know that He can and will meet you wherever you are and bring you back to Him. He is the Good Shepherd who goes searching for His lost and broken sheep. He heals them and brings them back to a place of protection and safety.
Most importantly, He is faithful in dealing with everything that separates us from Him. He has placed our sins and their consequences on Jesus. Theblood of Jesus washes away all our sins. We are clean and as white as snow before our Lord today.
Now that is a faithful God!! He remains faithful to us regardless of our faithfulness to Him. Isn't that some serious motivation to remain faithful to Him. What an awesome God we have!
Peace!
Tom
