In Chapter 1 two statements stuck out to me. The first is in verse 5 when Jesus said John baptized with water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Most of our examples of the spirit in our lives are sincere but weak examples of feeling nudged or led, but Jesus seems to be speaking of something much more. He is implying that there is an experience where you are overtaken by the Holy Spirit. I don't know how often it happened or how often it should happen, but Jesus does say that it WILL happen to them.

The second is in verse 8 where Jesus says "you will receive power" I've always heard the Holy Spirit described as powerful, but I can't honestly say that I have experience the Holy Spirit's power. It has caused me to weep, be convicted, pray, and other things but I don't know that I have experienced the true power of the Holy Spirit. Even though the Bible goes on to describe the Holy Spirit in different ways, the first description is power.

I want to experience the power of the Holy Spirit.....I think
