Admiration
According to Genesis 2:3 God made the seventh day "holy". As most of you already know to be "holy" means to be "set apart". God set apart this day of rest. When I was still in high school I worked for a contractor. There was an amazing home we were building when I was assigned the job of sanding these huge pillars. I spent many, many hours sanding these massive wooden pillars. I was worn out from all the work. My arm aching, my hands cramping, my enthusiasm quickly dieing. I finally left that evening finished, not just with the job, but physically and emotionally. A few days later I took some of my down time to drive by this house. As I approached I was taken back by those two beautiful pillars standing in front of this magnificent home. In my day off I was able to take in just how beautiful my small part of this job was. I believe that one of the most "holy" parts of this day of rest is not just to take a break, but to enjoy what has been done.
