1 Corinthians 13:1 ASV

I love this chapter in 1 Corinthians because it speaks to all of us. Real love is like beautiful music, but fake love is like a pair of cymbals by themselves. This verse says that if you prophecy in foreign languages, have the gift of faith to move mountains and even gave everything you owned to the poor and the church, but had no love, sorry, no love, no life. It then goes on to describe what real love is. Patient, kind, hopeful, keeps no record of wrong, rejoices with the truth, never gives up, and best of all, lasts forever! Love is not, for any reason, jealous, boastful, proud, rude, irritable, never demands it's own way, and never glad about injustice. You get the idea. But wait, think about it, when was the last time you were patient, forgot a wrong, or didn't give up with a loved one? I can remember like it was a few minutes ago! Oh yeah, it was a few minutes ago. See? It always happens. It also says that in the end, we will see all love as it is. Real love and fake love. Our eyes will be open to any surface emotions. Take a few minutes to think about it. Then, at the end it says faith, hope and love are the most important, but the greatest is love.
