Interesting timing that the daily reading of A2 falls on the heals of hearing week 1 of Ghost at Lifechurch yesterday.

One thing which stood out to me this time reading is what Peter says in his 'sermon' in v. 38:

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

It seems clear that this sermon is happening the very day of the great move/infilling (whatever you want to label it) of the Holy Spirit. It had to be something totally new for the disciples and amazing - supernatural. And yet, here just minutes (or hours?) later Peter is telling others, "you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit". He's saying it like he's grown up in Pentecostal/Charismatic circles or experienced this 'receiving' of the Holy Spirit awhile ago and has subsequently seen others receive Him. Yet, it had just happened to him and still he's confident that this will happen to others.

And has history has proven, when moves of God's Spirit happen amongst believers, outreach/testimony to Christ seem to be a major result...instantly.
