In the service of our Lord, we must lay everything of this world aside. Isaiah 53:6 says, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." While our flesh is weak, we must remember that Jesus carried our sins to the cross and bore them. What hope would we have if Christ had let something come before the service of His Father? When Jesus called his disciples, they left all they had and followed Him. We must strive each day to make sure we keep Christ first in our life, laying all other things to the side, for our labour is not in vain.
