What for? - Pt. 2
You were not only chosen to obey (see "What for? - Pt. 1), but you were also chosen for "sprinkling by His blood"?
What?
In the Old Testament, blood was sprinkled and used to seal an agreement. What happened in the O.T. was symbolic of what was to come and happen with Christ. The blood of Christ "sprinkled" - poured out at the crucifixion - seals the agreement God is making with you as a follower of Christ.
What agreement? The agreement to give you life. The agreement to never leave you. The agreement to use you to fulfill many of His promises. The agreement to give you abundant life. The agreement to adopt you for all eternity into His family. The agreement to use you to advance His kingdom.
I am chosen to obey. I am chosen to be one who God fulfills promises through me and my life.
What promises of God will He make real in your life today? Watch and expect.
