Man on the Run
Tonight we will be talking about the making decisions based on God's desires versus our own desires. Many times we can confuse what God wants and what we want. Sometimes things happen that appear as though my desires are aligning and we assume that is sign from God that He wants to give us what we want, but that isn't always the case. We need to make sure our heart and desire really is that God's will would be done, even if our personal desires don't get met in the process.
The reality is that we will all do this. We will all make decisions that are wrong and we got there because we confused our desire and God' desire. What do we do when we make those bad decisions? Here are a few suggestions: 1. Admit your wrong (repent) 2. Be willing to confront those involved 3. Make it right. These three are not all the steps, but that's what we see David do in this passage of scripture and we can learn a great lesson through it.
