I was celebrating what is known as 1st Wednesday at my church (Granger Community Church). Believers come together for an all-out worship experience and to take the sacrament of communion. Toward the end of the evening, however, Jeff Bell, the pastor speaking that night, slowed things down a bit. He challenged us to change our pace in the midst of our current busy lives and in the anticipated busyness in the coming holidays. "Be still and know that I am God." In those moments, i resonated on that piece of scripture, opened up for God's voice and this is what He gave me.

Be still and know that i am God.
Be still and know that i am with you,
that i will never leave you,
that even the best doesn't compare
to the good i bring to you,
and even the worst - know that i am
too big and too perfect to do what
the worst has done to you.
Be still and know that my love is always here,
has always been for you.
Be still and know that i am God.
Be still and know that my presence
is with you in the dawn, the day and the night.
I am yours and you are mine.
Be still and know that i love you.
You are too precious to lose;
i know this because i died for you.
Be still and let me tell you that i am God
and i am madly in love with you.
