The Power of One
In Ephesian chapter one we read seven examples of the importance of ONE THING. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
All of these seven points are powerful in itself and are foundational to powerful christian living. Not only do these points need to be powerful in their own merit, but they only become impacting if the USE of their uniqueness comes into play.
It is just like LOVE. In itself is very powerful ... when you give it away it becomes active and multiplies.
Look at your FINANCES. Pretty powerful in itself ... when given as a tithe, offering or alms, it activates the Kingdom economy, becomes active and multiplies.
What about WISDOM. We could all just ask for our own, right? Because God's wisdom is powerful in itself. But when we offer it to those around us who were entrusted to us, it will become another life changing building block in the folks we disciple, who will in turn share that piece of wisdom with everyone they know.
If we ever see ourselves as the 'Receiving End' or the final destination of God's Grace or Mercy or anything He is doing in our lives, we are blocking the way of his divine flow and ultimately work against him.
The principle of the POWER OF ONE lies in this ... It is not the individual player but the team effort that wins games. Nothing you have been given by God belongs to you. It was given so you can keep giving it away. If you hold on to it, it will die. In other words:
YOUR PART IS NEVER MORE IMPORTANT THEN WHAT YOU ARE A PART OF.
