2 Thessalonians 1:1-12 ESV

Christians in the church at Thessalonica were anxious for Jesus' return. Because of the persecution they faced, they felt like they were experiencing the tribulation and wondered why Jesus had not come back yet. In this portion of the letter, we see Paul encouraging the Thessalonian believers to continue enduring in faith, and helping them understand how they should live while waiting for Jesus' return. Similarly, in these unsettled times, we need to understand how to take comfort in the rest that comes from living with the understanding that Jesus' return is imminent.

This series, "Waiting for Jesus' Return" is taught and recorded on Sunday mornings at the Mobil Campus by Pastor Bruce Zachary, the lead pastor at Calvary Chapel Nexus, in Camarillo, California. All of the videos and content from this series will be presented at http://www.waiting4jesus.com
