Matthew 1:21 MSG

We are all filled with two natures. We all have the “breath of life” which God breathed into Adam, but we also have the choice to idly stand by while our family is tempted and falls for the lie of Satan that we can fulfill our own desires by knowing “Good and Evil”. This plays out in our daily lives in our interactions with others, in our internet usage, in the places we spend our money. We have this internal conflict because God wants us to freely love him and not be robots programmed to only offer him praise whenever he presses the button. Without having a choice of what we will love, we cannot really call it love. So in relation to the two natures, picture it this way; we have two dogs on our land - one is a rabid, aggressive dog and the other is a well trained, obedient dog. They came with the property when we moved into the area and it is our choice which of these dogs we let into our house and which we feed.
God, I ask that you enter my heart and guide me in your truth. I will seek your truth in all that I do and feed your spirit with praises of your glory. I know that I have fallen short and ask for grace so that your will may be done here on earth as it is in heaven above.
