INCREDIBLE HOPE!!!!
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed–52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.(NIV)
This verse speaks of the future and what a future. For a christian this verse brings incredible hope. The world that we live is tiresome, we get weary. Sometimes we are spiritually strong, sometimes we are spiritually weak...soome times we have victory over sin...sometimes we don't....but the day will come when it is all over. A new life...a changed life. Yes, ofcourse my life as a christian changed here on earth when I met Jesus but there will come that second time when I will completely change...for ever. What a day that is going to be and it looks like it will happen fast...."in the twinkle of an eye at the last trumpet". Boy...do I look forward to that last trumpet!!!!
If you are tired and weary...read this verse and let it lift you up to that glorious day when you will hear the sound of that last trumpet. Think of this verse often and let your imagination go....picture the day that you will be changed person....complete like Jesus.
