King David repents, his sin with Bathsheba had caught up with him, and he is crying out to the Lord for forgiveness and that the joy of the Lords salvation be restored unto him. Just as King David if there is sin in our lives the Lord won't bless. We must repent come to God and ask that a Clean heart and a right spirit be nenewed within us, to find favor with God. We God's people need to repent daily ask God to direct us and help every day in the battle against the devil and the world. The lost sinner needs to call out to Jesus for mercy that their soul might be saved His blood applied and eternal life granted unto them.

A far greater than John came preaching the same message, (KJV) Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
