Exodus 1:8 NLT

Here a new Pharaoh comes to power, and doesn't know the history of his guests in Egypt. Two peoples who are friendly and support each other (Egypt being a womb or safe place for the children of Israel to grow), become combative and enemies. This scenario is recreated often by the people of God within our churches. How often is jealousy or a lack or knowing a church's history create conflict between generations or leaders who compete for budget dollars, volunteer support, and schedule space for other ministries? Too often we forget about who owns the church (God), and fight internal battles that are unnecessary and costly to both sides.
