Young
Whenever I hear the word young I think of little babies. When my parents hear the word young they think of me. But what I believe this verse to be talking about is anyone who is young in their walk with the Lord as well as the actual youth. I was just thinking about this verse yesterday and I thought about my parents and how they avoid the people who have hurt them. Then I thought back to the time I was being abused. I thought about that person's life was like and how they feel knowing what they have done. I made a choice to call and tell her that I have forgiven her and that God has to. But now the only thing holding me back is the fear of my parents' reaction. Now I am here sitting in the dark thinking how my decision could change the way they look at me. I think the true meaning is doing things you feel are right even when they are scary and the people you love who are older or younger are to afraid to do. And to change the way they think about themselves and others in the same situation.
