2 Timothy 2:2 ASV

Hi to my fellow followers out there listening/reading :) I am excited that Steve chose to begin the study with these two scriptures. Lately I've felt called to the missions field, but am still unsure of what/when/how that will happen & in what fashion I should be serving. I'm just praying that God will reveal the details and that in the meantime, He'll prepare me to step into this role confidently.

Anyone else out there in this same place in your life? Do you think the disciples had been feeling a pressing urge to "step outside the boat" (so-to-speak) and responded the way that they did when Jesus came because they assumed his invitation was a confirmation of a previously mysterious call? Or do you think they had their own ideas of what this ministry would look like,.. what their roles may be...?

I especially enjoy pondering verses 4:2-5 in 2 Timothy = "I give y9ou th8is charge- preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season...do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry." Anyone else out there longing to follow this advice and just unsure of where to walk?
